Unincorporated Baldwin County
Headlight restoration on Ono Island
Ono Island is a private, gated barrier island in southern Baldwin County at the mouth of Perdido Bay, bordered by Bayou St. John to the north and Old River to the south. It is unincorporated, which means it is inside the area we are licensed to serve.
Mobile service in Ono Island
An island address is about as demanding an environment as a headlight lens can live in. Salt spray, unbroken sun, and very little shade — the factory hard coat does not last long here, and second homes that sit for weeks between visits come back to chalky lenses.
Mobile service is close to essential on Ono. Rather than taking a vehicle off the island for cosmetic work, we come across and do it in the driveway. Because access is gated, just let us know when you text how you would like us to handle entry and we will work with whatever the property requires.
What the job involves
Every restoration is the same multi-stage process regardless of where you are: mask the surrounding paint and trim, wet sand through progressive grits to cut away the failed factory coating and the oxidized plastic underneath, machine polish the lens back to optical clarity, then seal it with a UV-stable clear coat so it stays that way.
We work outside the vehicle, so you keep your keys and carry on with whatever you are doing. Most cars and trucks take about an hour. RVs and campers take longer, and we will say so when we quote.
Getting a quote
Text a clear photo of your lenses to (251) 321-5430 with your vehicle’s year, make and model, and your location in Ono Island. You will get a real number back, free, with no obligation. We quote from photos because lens condition varies enormously and we would rather give you an accurate figure than a range that means nothing.
